The TRANSPYR 2010 links the Mediterranean with the Atlantic in just 8 days of mountain biking. The route has been designed for experienced, physically fit cyclists. The exact route will be kept secret until the start f the event but riders can expect to enjoy some hard, short climbs, and some moderately technical sections. The route will use the minimum of tarmac ways and roads but sometimes small local roads will be used to link sections of the route. Any road used will have very little motor traffic. These sections will also help riders maintain the average speed required to complete the stages within the time limits set by the organizers.
The final configuration of the route will be announced the day before the start of the event and / or before each stage.
